BILD MOBIL chooses Nedstat

Nedstat and Neue Digitale give insight into mobile user behaviour

Frankfurt/Main, 30 July 2008 - BILD MOBIL, Germany's largest independent mobile portal has teamed up with Nedstat and Neue Digitale to analyse behaviour of its mobile users. Together the web analytics specialist and the digital marketing agency provide detailed insight into mobile browsing and conversion and advise BILD MOBIL on how to include findings into their online marketing strategies.

"The mobile portal has been an incredible success story. In particular, our customers using the BILD MOBIL prepaid-card with free data connection are very active on our mobile site. However, visitors not owning a prepaid-card also visit these pages regularly. Our total page views currently amount to more than twelve million per month" says Tanja Hackner, project leader BILD MOBIL.

Mobile analytics require new measurement methods due to the fact that devices differ in their ability to accept cookies and support JavaScript. Nedstat’s innovative solution and the advanced know-how of Neue Digitale allow Bild Group to not only analyse browsing behaviour on their site, but also investigate the types and brands of mobile phones, mobile operating systems and individual screen resolutions that visitors use.

"Nedstat is very engaged in the field of mobile analytics", comments Stefan Mohr, Director Mobile at Neue Digitale. "Reports that refer exclusively to online usage via mobile phones are rare in the market. We are therefore pleased that we are now able to advise our customers not only on traditional web analytics but also on mobile analytics. This complies with our 360-degree service approach."

“One of the first conclusions we drew with the help of the Sitestat reports was that visitors using BILD MOBIL prepaid-card stay significantly longer on our mobile portal“, explains Karsten Courtin, Director Analytics at Neue Digitale. "This is a vital insight for creating new business models for BILD MOBIL and its online commercialisation. "
